Your First Visit to the Chiropractor – a Painless Conversation
We have found that no two patients are alike – everyone has different goals and desires. Some people just want to live life without pain and get rid of headaches or lower back pain, while others want to perform at their optimal level. Some people dread going to the chiropractor while others actually consider an adjustment the best part of their week, and love it!
Our goal is to make sure you get what you want. That is why your first visit is usually just a conversation with a Doctor.
We need to know where you’ve been, where you are now, where you want to go, and how fast you want to get there. You need to know if we are the right place for you. If everyone is happy (which is almost always the case) – then we move forward to see where you are now.
New Chiropractic Patient Exam
The goal of the New Patient Exam is to discover together the current state of your health, specifically your spine. This is not about scolding or lecturing or anything like that—far from it– it is about evaluating your neck, back and spine to help us find our starting point to give you the best possible chiropractic care.
Your new patient appointment will include a comprehensive exam to evaluate the condition of your spine; joints, muscles, ligaments, bones—in short, the whole skeletal system. In addition, we will take digital X-rays, diagnostic photographs, and utilize special instrumentation. With current, accurate records, our Doctors can design a customized treatment plan for you based specifically on your goals and objectives.
Review of Findings (ROF)
One to two weeks into treatment, we expect to begin seeing some results, sometimes immediately though generally not much longer than a few weeks at the most. At that time, we will present a Formal Report of Findings consultation with a doctor and the staff. Based upon your goals and desired level of health and fitness, the doctor will present to you YOUR Plan. You will get a visual review of everything that was discussed and the results of each examination that was performed. You will know the present state of your spinal health and you will be able to confirm this in your x-rays and photographs. You will have a step by step solution to get you to your goals and you will know the costs – all in advance.
After our years of practicing chiropractic – the treatment is not the challenge – it lies in making sure that we are on the same page and we get you what you want! And we will! Remember, you deserve to feel GREAT!
Financial Policy & Health Insurance
Our office is a fee-for-service practice and therefore payment is normally due at the time services are provided unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Our office accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, as well as cash or checks. For those patients with health insurance, as a courtesy, we will be glad to process the insurance portion of your treatment. Depending on your coverage, you can expect your insurance company to pay us directly or reimburse you a portion of our fee. That amount is determined by your coverage as issued by your insurance company. We will file all claims for you, as well as any follow-ups or appeals as needed. We are always available to help you make the best use of the benefits you have available. At all times, you can be confident that we will always provide you with our best services without regard to the limitations imposed by your insurance coverage. Anything else would violate our commitment to you as our patient.
